Day 24 - rest

Days 25 and 26 - NOT so much...

Work has been LONG!   Working 10 hour days and a full 8 on Saturday.

Tuesday was the last basketball game – hoops training camp (for both boys) ended today.

So I'm off to bed so I can leave for work by 6:30 ... it amazes me that the traffic by end of day is so slow that I get home around 6:45 pm.
~

My counting could use some work . . . but I still did my ab challenge.

and counting.

I'm still here, yes ... I'm on track for the challenge.   

            80 sit ups . . .  110 crunches . . . 48 leg raises . . . 70 second plank

Just have some catching up on writing - screen time etc. 


Boy2 had tournament over the weekend -- 
his team took 1st place ~
NW Summer Invitational Champions!   



today was the only non-game day ... well we have a break on Saturday too, but there are two games per day for the tournament on Friday and Sunday.

Boy2 said goodbye to girlfriend this morning - left for a family camping trip at 10 (cell phone free trip) ... 

I got this text at 10:15   "Momma, I miss her!  =/ "  
Awww, I love that kid!

There was another basketball game yesterday, Tigard won.  Due to circumstances out of my control, boy2 was not there.

So grateful for the times I can borrow God's grace because there is NO WAY I have enough on my own.

day of R E S T    -  so why does my pedometer say 12+ miles?

strange feeling this rest, it makes my feet hurt.

Day 7 ...

Oooo Mmm gee...

King G, that is.   My calves are using your name as a swear word tonight.   OWWW


Had to work today, yes ... really.   

Now am bemoaning the fact that I didn't really have  a Saturday. Tomorrow is Sunday and I have to go back to work again on that next day.
~
Even Saturdays are tough for decisions.  I couldn't find anything comfy to wear so I raided Boy2's drawer -- found a perfect plaid shirt!

Then left for work,.. not realizing that little cow kitten (Ginormous) had crawled into the drawer while I was absconding with such perfect plaid shirt to wear while working on a Saturday.  And no, I don't remember closing that drawer when I left.

Thank God (seriously) I don't have to walk much in my line of work, I'm sure my co-workers thought I was losing it the way I was tiptoe-ing, and grunting the name with every step.   

But the crazy thing is that four exits were closed on Hwy 26, two of which would be the ones I use on the way to the office ... but because I'm going there on a Saturday, they are temporarily closed for a Hillsboro event ... by the way, when I passed such exits thinking I would take them going the opposite direction on the Hwy 26, oops -  they were closed both directions.  

I made it to work, luckily my legs had enough energy for the brake and gas pedals.  G

Turns out my security card doesn't work on Saturdays like I have to, so thus there was a need for an office "door monitor" to ensure we all got inside (kinda creepy, right?).  Locked inside.  That said, it's probably not a good idea to go down the hall to the restroom because one would need to use the id card to return to the office ... or go outside, walk all the way around the building to find the door monitor's desk and so one can wave furiously to gain their attention through the window.   Sheesh, what was I thinking?  But I survived working despite great odds,

However, arriving home nearly at the same time as Sweet-T (fishing event); we became somewhat disturbed (him more than me) that the white cow (um, kitten) was nowhere to be found.   

No really, him hiding= not normal... last week when Boy2 was carrying in bags of groceries, his basketball gear bag, and a gallon of milk, he walked into the house to be greeted by white cow..kitten and the 20 lb white gi·gan·tic one stops in front of him and drops himself like a BIG bag o'tators on the ground, directly in front of Boy2's feet.  Boy literally had to use his foot as a scoop to move the big lug aside before my frozen goods thawed.  

Well, back to my story, we can't find him.  

um, we called and searched ...           here and there,                               we looked ... everywhere.
         

Until we thought a squeaky noise was coming from the boys' room... I called him by name... and much to my chagrin -  I pulled open the huge drawer and found him under the bed (which is one big unit, think trundle).  Oops, my bad, locked the cow kitten under the bed (he really isn't old enough to be a cat, but I find it harder every day to call him kitten), -- relax, he was (is) fine.  =)

To end the day, I give you my final groan as I fulfill the daily Ab Challenge.   Ugggh.

     Tomorrow is a REST day... and it's Sunday, which is quite apropos.

Day 6...

Tired, Sore ... but getting it done!

TGIF!!   Oh wait, I work tomorrow too ... oh well.

Day 5....

Early morning walk with Sweet-T  5 am
T goes fishing, I drive son1 to school 7:30

8am - Latte @ Starbucks

Vacation day for me = 8:30 trip to see King G at the gym.
Countless leg exercises (3x 20 at each machine) ... he was counting, not me.

oh yeah, then the ab roller -- uh, ow!



 accidentally left phone at gym, trip back to pick it up

1pm - Pick up son2 at school for afternoon appointment in Hillsboro.
Buy food for son2 before basketball game.

Arrive at wrong school -  discovered that 'girls basketball' is playing at that school; drive back into Tigard for correct game location; game is mid-2nd quarter score Tigard 40/Wilson 5.

Game ends Tigard wins 80/20 ...

DAY 4 ...

REST DAY!!!

Aahhh . . .  peace: no basketball, no meetings, just sat with boys and watched "Second Hand Lions."

Good movie.  Great company.  Happy rested muscles.

Day 3 ...

busy ...

drop boy1 at school 7:30
work 8 hours

-- boy2 gets ride to basketball game @ 4:30

pick up boy1 from school 4:59, Umm -  5:01

drive in traffic until 5:30
-- boy2 on competitive Tigard team wins 73/23 Or.City

arrive home 5:35
-- boy2 home by 5:40 - showered, fed, dressed

drive boy2 to last concert of 8th grade ...
-- visit with boy2's girlfriend and her Dad ...

finally drive home 9:15
-- need milk + cheese + important fruit / veggies
home at 9:50 ...




OH FINE!!!

Reporting a slight pain in the hip from leg raises, but otherwise, another successful day!
