Jazz Concert ...

Here's the link to the Jazz concert Jeffrey played in last week with the Fowler Jazz Band -- Alto Saxophone front and center ... sometimes hidden by Mr.Vandyke as he directs them.  =)

{Fowler's  performance starts at approx 44 on the video - which you can slide the fast forward to at the bottom -  ... but previous to Fowler and after is Tigard High Jazz Ensemble.  Twality Jazz Band performs first}

THS Jazz Ensemble is always worth the listen of course (no Jason this time - sadly) but all bands perform together at the end !!!

With performances by the Tigard High School Jazz Ensemble, Twality Middle School Jazz Band, and Fowler Middle School Jazz Band.

Every Light That Shines At Christmas

Found it King G!!!

This is the song I heard at the Christmas Celebration -- Jason leaves stage before this one comes on, so he never gets to hear them sing.  Today I found this recording ~ enjoy!!

Here's Jason in his tux ...

Age Poem

At twelve I lived for the delicious chocolate-chip cookies my Mom and I made on Wednesday nights.

I lived for rock-band and staying up till 11:00 pm playing the endless setlist 1.

I lived for the endless nerf wars that 'the Jeffreys' and I would have (that they would win).

I lived for the times when we all would cuddle on the couch and watch a movie.

I lived for the times when Jeffrey and I would play fetch with Eddie and Jeffrey would hit the stop-sign 150 ft away

I lived for my friends and family and the help they have given me.

I lived for the times where we would play Mario Kart and watch Mom lose … horribly.

I lived because I wanted to Live.

But what I really live for is music, for getting into the emotion of the song and falling like a feather into the dark blue sea of emotion, music and love.

So music is what I really live for.

Story later...

I'm speechless! Nicole Mullen - Redeemer Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning? and Who told the ocean you can only come this far? and Who showed the moon where to hide 'til evening? Whose words alone can catch a falling star? Well I know my Redeemer lives I know my Redeemer lives: All of creation testifies This life within me cry I know my Redeemer lives, yeah. The very same God that spins things in orbit runs to the weary, the worn and the weak And the same gentle hands that hold me when I'm broken They conquered death to bring me victory Now I know my Redeemer lives I know my Redeemer lives Let all creation testify Let this life within we cry I know my Redeemer, He lives To take away my shame And He lives forever, I'll proclaim That the payment for my sin Was the precious life He gave But now He's alive and There's an empty grave. And I know my Redeemer lives I know my Redeemer lives Let all creation testify Let this life within me cry I know my Redeemer, I know my Redeemer I know my Redeemer lives I know my Redeemer lives I know that I know that I know that I know that I know my redeemer lives Because He lives I can face tomorrow I Know I know He lives He lives yeah, yeah I spoke with him this morning He lives He lives, the tomb is empty, He lives I gotta tell everybody
